Okay, so like two weeks ago I looked up the UIL date for my old middle school (Some band competition) cause I love my old director and wanted to support her. The scoring is Simple, I is good. II is eh. III Is Bad IV is horrible... and yes, V exists. And My middle school has gotten straight Is (Ones) every year except for one.
So I find out that they were to play Wed. and Thursday (Two bands)... I failed to attend the Wed. Band, and was going to see a friend of mine direct her band (I know her from the community band) so I got there extra early. They did wonderful. As I was waiting for their results at the scoreboard I saw another band coming up.
I recognized the uniforms (or the dresses and Tuxidos) and one person was like. "Your the sax girl from last year!" and we talked, and they told me where the assistant director (Director of the 2nd band which had played the day before), and a jumped over to greet him in a cheerful manner, expecting the usual "Oh-no! She's Back!" Reaction... but no. He looked a bit surprised... but it wasn't right.
So I go back to wait for the other school's results, and decide to talk to my friend (who is a helper cause her school is hosting the event) and she told me the second band's scores... I, II, and II! NEVER has my old middle school gotten a III, and only ONCE a II! It was a shock.
To make things worst, the first band (the better one) GOT TWO IIs! NEVER has this happened. My poor director was so sad D= I want to kill Judge #3 (Gave the II, and a II). The first time they got a II, my director cried D=
-earlier that day during my band period-
So this office aid comes in and gives me a note. It says go to the nurse. And I'm like... WHY THE HELL NOW? I'M FINALLY GETTING A CHANCE TO SEE WHAT I'M DOING WRONG IN THE MARCHING SHOW, AND I'M BEING PULLED OUT OF CLASS? (Again). Apparently I needed Shots. TWO. They still hurt.
Horrible day? Yes.
